Blackbeard caught me by surprise

Blackbeard caught me by surprise

I received in my delivery box several stacks of crayfish balls that I tried to sell in Jeuno to make some gil, unfortunately no one wanted them so instead of throwing them away I decided to make good use of them.

Quickly I made my way to Selbina and boarded the ferry that takes you to Mhaura so I could fish for a bit. The catch was decent, a bit slow for my taste, but I honestly was killing time so there was no rush on this.

Joyeuse… finally mine!!!

As some of you may know, going to the Sea Serpent Grotto and wait for Charybdis to spawn can be quite an ordeal and really exhausting.

I have been in that place several times helping others to get their Joyeuse with no interest whatsoever for hat sword. But while working on Paladin and now Red Mage, this sword is a “must-have” item.

I made couple of trips to the Grotto to gather some intel about this sea monk and twice I asked several individuals from a linkshell to help me kill it.

Sadly there was no luck until several weeks ago that someone in my linkshell, Hellzkitten, also wanted to get the sword. We teamed up and the first couple of days we weren’t that lucky because of the competition to get claim. Wow that place really tends to get crowded.

Another problem we encountered was that not many people are willing to spend hours in that place waiting for the sea monk to make its appearance.

Once our group managed to get claim of the mob, I had to compete again all those who were wanting the same prize.

The second time we got claimed, I was lucky to roll the highest lot and promised to myself never to go back there to camp that mob.

Sorcerer’s Sabots

It has been more than two months since I joined a new Dynamis linkshell called Fashionablylate looking to complete my Black Mage relic set, specifically I jus need to get my coat and my hat but I haven’t been very lucky with that as of late.

A lot of stuff actually drops during our runs but not all of it is useful to me. I guess it’s just a matter if being patient and hope for someday see the pieces of gear I really want.

On the good side, the last time we did Dynamis Quifm a piece of gear for Black Mage dropped and I won the lot for it. :D

I just need to gather enough ancient currency -just need 14 more Tukuku Whiteshell- and get some items so I can upgrade my boots and obtain the Sorcerer’s Sabots +1.

Facing Maat again as Paladin

Facing Maat again as Paladin

As you know I have been working as Paladin as of late with the hopes to get more party invites and to be able to do more stuff with my friends, but sadly that did not worked out very well as Uwaine started to work on the same job and well… it pains me to say they prefer him over me.

But that has not stopped me from trying to reach level 75, so I managed to get some good parties and the people with whom I worked with were satisfied with my performance. I was also asked to be the tank for several missions which were successful so obviously I am not a bad Paladin.

My lovely Hurricane Breeze

HurricaneBreeze inside the egg

HurricaneBreeze inside the egg

Like all mornings, today I started doing my usual chores: check the plants, check my sales in the Action House and then head out to Windy to visit my chocobo Hurricane Breeze. I stopped by some vendors cause I always bring him some food and take him out for a ride.

So before giving my choco his food I talked to the trainer to see if there were some news concerning his health and was immediately shocked by what he told me:

“It’s time to send Hurricane Breeze to a farm.”
I was like… WHAT??!! NOOOO!!! WHY??!!
